St. Paul's puts in some Community Service at "His Table"            a program started by Romeo Methodist Church to feed            those who need a good hot meal. Serving the homeless,        those who cannot afford a decent meal, shut-ins, and more.

The three photos above show just a portion of our            wonderful day with our friends  at Second Mile Center.

Outreach - St. Paul's Episcopal Church

His Table
St. Paul's is participating in a program begun by Romeo Methodist Church to help feed people in need, for whatever reason. We provided our first meal Nov. 30th and had a great time. Our stuffed pepper casserole was a big hit. "His Table" provides meals each Tuesday night beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Samaritan House
St. Paul's links with other area congregations to serve Samaritan House, which offers food and other aid to families who are struggling with economic and health issues. We participate in picking up blankets from Focus Hope and deliver them to Samaritan House for those who need extra help keeping warm. We participate in Share Tree another Samaritan House project. People provide Christmas gifts for those who need help giving their family a happy Christmas

Harvest Walk
St. Paul's members continue to walk and raise money for our local food pantry. We walk with other churches and volunteers from all over the Romeo Washington area.

Michigan Parkinson Foundation
This year we would like to support Pat Clinton and his family as they do the walk-a-thon to raise money for research in Parkinson's disease.

Second Mile Center in Detroit                                                          This center was started under the auspices of the Presbyterian Women's Society. The program is run by an amazing woman, Ruth Azur. The center provides a safe place for children of many ages to go after school. Ruth holds church services for the youth. There is a computer center and a game room and dinner and snacks are avilable for the youth and their families. http://www.secondmilecenter.org/who_are_we.htm

In April the Men's Club of St. Paul's cooked a wonderful mastachioli dinner with salad. John Contoni made 200 cookies for desert. The Episcopal Church Women of St. Paul's helped served dinner. A couple of our folks joined other volunteers in helping with the summer health fair at Second Mile Center.
