M.C.R.E.S.T. - Macomb County Rotating Emergency
Shelter Team
MCREST is a wandering shelter for homeless families.
Various churches in Macomb County take part in this throughout the year
and house a specific population (men, or women and children). Other
congregations take turns cooking meals and volunteering for other
aspects to help host congregations out.
Hearts and Hands
Our past projects included: knitting hats for our soldiers that fit
under their helmets and keep them warm; prayer shawls for those who have
lost loved ones. Currently we are making various projects to sell at the
Labor Day Peach Festival Craft show that St. Paul's will be hosting,
Sept. 3-6, 2010. Come and visit us if you are out this way for Romeo's
Peach Festival.
Samaritan House St. Paul's links with other area congregations to
serve Samaritan House, which offers food and other aid to
families who are struggling with economic and health issues.
Focus Hope (Pantry)- St. Paul's collects food for the Samaritan House
pantry.

Crop Walk
St. Paul's members walked in the 26th annual Northwest Macomb County
Area CROP Walk. After a prayer of blessing by Pastor Mark Evans about
175 walkers who had gathered at St. John Lutheran Church took off on
their chosen route. The weather was perfect: cool and sunny. Many thanks
to all who participated in any way. The amount grossed is over $12,000
and still climbing. Praise God!!!
