Interfaith Volunteer Services
If you know of any senior citizens that are disabled and/or low income that need light housekeeping or indoor/outdoor light maintenance please contact Reverend Ronda Johnson. Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers, a non-profit volunteer service, is broadening their reach into the Romeo area and is looking for people to assist. Please check out their website if you are interested in becoming a volunteer!
In Kind Donations
The members of St. Paul’s are abundant in spirit and generous in their support of the church. This includes in-kind gifts, which are items purchased by individuals and given toward the operation of the church, such as office supplies, altar supplies, cleaning products, coffee, etc. Most of this inkind giving is done quietly, behind the scenes, and anonymously. However, it is important, in a non-profit organization, to track the extent of that vital form of contribution in order to acknowledge (or not, if anonymity is preferred) the donor, and monitor the true value of the operation. If you buy things for the church, please leave a receipt, or a note detailing the purchase, date, and amount, in the Treasurer’s mailbox in the back hall. If you want, the amount of your inkind gifts can be included on your annual donor statement.
Mission Trip Bottle Collection
The Mission Trip is on again this year! Since 2011, members of St, Paul’s, together with other people from the area, have travelled to the town of St. Paul, Virginia to work with Grace House on the Mountain to perform much-needed repairs on the homes of elderly and disabled residents of that severely depressed area of the country. Along with the on-going bottle-and-can collection, designated donations are being accepted to help defray the cost of this worthwhile outreach. Please indicate “Mission Trip” on the memo line of your check and put it in the Sunday offering if you want to contribute. Returnables can be brought to the church. For more information, or if you are interested in participating this year, please talk to Susan or Mike Wilson.
